Firefly Free is fun, dynamic, interactive art! Watch hundreds of colorful fireflies swarm around your screen in explosions of color and motion, reacting to your touches and swipes!

Firefly Free is an iPhone and iPod touch application.

Firefly Free has many of the same capabilities as Firefly, but the free version has a max of two queens and 200 fireflies and does not have drawing capability.

Interactive features include:

• Tilt, touch, or pinch/zoom the screen and watch the flies react!
• Add queen fireflies and watch the rest try to keep up!
• Change the color and number of flies using on-screen sliders.
• Tell Firefly Free to randomly change the settings to produce a new look.
• Watch as the fireflies trace a built-in outline.
• And more!

The combination of trace mode, queens, and other interactions make for an endless variety of beautiful and entertaining displays.

Firefly Free is visual, interactive entertainment that is fun for kids and adults alike!

This video was made using the simulator, not a real iPhone or iPod touch device. On a real device Firefly has a faster framerate so the animation is smooth. This video is compressed, sacrificing sharpness. On a real device the animation is crisp and clear.

On a real device there are more available interactions including multi-touch gestures, tilting, and shaking.
